Customized Monitors on the Rails, on the Road and at Sea

EIZO Technologies produces vehicle monitors for the driver's workplace and for the passengers. Depending on the installation location, the monitors provide information, vehicle operation and entertainment. We meet the extensive, specific requirements of our clients:

  • Individually adapted to each type of vehicle
  • AUTOSAR or CAN bus implementation
  • Extremely robust and resistant to extreme temperatures, moisture, dust and vibrations
  • Country and industry-specific approvals

If necessary, we also equip monitors with heaters so that the required operating temperature is available shortly after the vehicle has started.

Monitors for maritime Use

Our monitors are used in ECDIS and radar applications. They can be used for steering and control tasks and are designed for the harsh conditions at sea.

The monitors for the maritime sector are developed and produced by us. Sales are carried out by our sister company EIZO Europe GmbH.


Passenger Entertainment

We develop and produce monitors for passenger entertainment for well-known OEM customers. We don't just limit ourselves to image reproduction. We also provide special monitor suspensions and movable guides.

Case Example: Exchange Monitors for Train Driver's Cabs

Nothing lasts forever, but the S-Bahn series 472 in Hamburg have been running for decades. The CRT displays in the driver's cab were worn out and had to be replaced. The original models had not been around for years and so EIZO Technologies came into play. Together with the railway equipment supplier Funkwerk, we developed modern 10.4" TFT displays that were able to replace the old CRT models precisely and ready for connection.
